Lucille joined Gilbert Walker in 2025, and has experience in property, insurance and company law. Prior to joining Gilbert Walker, Lucille worked as a solicitor in the commercial property team of a leading nationwide firm. There she gained experience acting for large corporates in a range of property transactions, particularly for property financing entities and investment funds.
While at university, Lucille undertook internships with the Public Defence Service and for criminal defence barristers. She also worked as a legal writer for Select Committee News, and as a research assistant within Victoria University of Wellington’s law faculty.
Lucille has published articles on civil procedure, company law and socio-legal topics. She has received a number of awards for her academic and legal writing, including the New Zealand Law Students’ Association prize for legal writing.
