Jack joined Gilbert Walker after completing two years as a Judges’ Clerk at the Court of Appeal. He has assisted with a broad range of civil cases, with a particular focus on insurance, contractual and trust disputes.
Jack was one of the top graduates of his law school class at the University of Auckland. Jack worked during his university days for the law school as a tutor and research assistant. He continues the relationship currently as a tutor in equity.
Jack has published articles in leading legal journals such as the Lloyd’s Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly and has been awarded a number of academic prizes, including a Senior Scholarship in Law.
Most recently Jack was awarded the 2019 Cleary Memorial Prize, which is an award for a young barrister or solicitor who shows future promise in the legal profession.
