Antonio advises on a wide range of commercial disputes and has acted for clients in the construction, property, banking and insurance sectors. He is experienced in complex and large scale litigation, including regulatory investigations and class actions. In addition to law, Antonio has an honours degree in engineering and has worked at Beca, one of New Zealand’s leading engineering consultancies. His background allows him to get up to speed on complex matters quickly.
Prior to joining Gilbert Walker, Antonio worked as a Judges’ Clerk at the High Court in Auckland where he assisted on trials concerning trusts, tax and construction. He has since appeared as junior counsel in the High Court and Court of Appeal.
He was awarded scholarships for corporate law and mediation at the University of Auckland and has won several domestic and international advocacy competitions.
