Nina Khouri graduated from Auckland University in 2003 with an LL.B. (Hons.) and a B.A. in Philosophy and Scandinavian Studies. She received various academic awards, including the Auckland District Law Society prize for the law student with the best overall academic record, and was admitted to the bar in January 2004.
Nina read for her LL.M. in dispute resolution and international law at New York University in 2005-2006 as a Fulbright Scholar and a NYU Vanderbilt Scholar. She was also awarded the Fulbright Alumni Award for the most promising Fulbright Scholar that year, the P.E.O. International Peace Fund Award and the Spencer Mason Travelling Scholarship in Law.
Following her LL.M., Nina worked in London for the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR), Europe's largest commercial mediation provider. She is a CEDR- and LEADR-accredited mediator and currently serves on the board of LEADR New Zealand. She has lectured in Jurisprudence at the University of Auckland Faculty of Law and is currently in charge of teaching the final-year Dispute Resolution course.
