Murray Gilbert SC

Murray Gilbert was admitted to the bar in 1977 and has practised primarily in civil litigation. He was appointed Senior Counsel in 2008. He has considerable experience in commercial litigation and has appeared in courts at all levels including the Supreme Court and Privy Council. His areas of expertise include professional indemnity, public liability, directors' and officers' liability, commercial property litigation, contractual disputes, maritime law, and corporate recovery. Murray was a partner of Kensington Swan from 1985 to 1996 and of Chapman Tripp from 1996 until 2004. He has been recognised as a leading commercial litigator by a number of publications including The International Who's Who of Commercial Litigators, Chambers Global and the Asia Pacific Legal 500.
